Therapist (In Training)
De'Nika!
Hi, I'm
Hi, I’m De’Nika Spencer (she/her), an African American woman based in Henrico, VA. I believe therapy should be a space where you can exhale—a place that feels safe, supportive, and real. You don’t have to have it all figured out to show up. I bring a compassionate, relatable, and active approach to helping individuals and families work through life’s challenges while building trust, confidence, and growth along the way.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in intensive in-home settings, supporting them through some of life’s most difficult and overwhelming moments. I’m trained in crisis intervention, which allows me to help you manage high-stress situations, find stability, and build practical coping strategies. Whether you’re navigating family challenges, emotional stress, or major life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Together, we’ll focus on strengthening coping skills, improving communication, and creating healthy boundaries so you can feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life.
Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, spending quality time with my three beautiful daughters, and traveling.
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself lately? Ready for a space where you can finally exhale and be real? Let’s get started, reach out today to connect.
** Please note that I am an MSW Supervisee in Social Work! Lenise Mazyck, LCSW is my supervisor for my clinical hours! If you have any questions regarding my role, please give us a call**
